PN ’12

Publishing Next ’12 was held on the 14th and 15th of September 2012. The event drew a larger participation compared to the first edition in 2011 and also consisted of more panel discussions and workshops. In addition, ‘insight-sharing sessions’ were held where speakers drew upon their experiences within the publishing industry. The full schedule of events can be viewed by clicking here.

The second edition focused on ways and means to create new readers, new writers and new publishers and discussed issues that were unique to India, such as the concerns of Indian language publishers and the preservation of oral traditions. Workshops helped the publishing community acquaint themselves with new skills and we introduced the concept of “insight talks” where experienced professionals were asked to share their experiences. This edition emphasized that there were issues within the publishing industry that needed continuous discussion and debate to elicit answers.
