Kiruba ShankarKiruba Shankar is the CEO of Business Blogging, a leading social media consulting firm. All his 17 years of work experience has been spent in the digital space.

Kiruba’s love for books led him to start authoring books. He has authored 4 books till date: ‘Copy Right and Left: Understanding Creative Commons’, ‘Wikipedia – A Beginner’s Guide’, ‘Crowdsourcing Tweet’ and ‘UnConference’. His next book is titled ‘Charge: 50 Powerful Life Lessons from Commencement Speeches’. He married his passion for publishing and belief in digital to bring about Verdure Books, a publishing firm focused on digital technologies.

He has diverse interests and has started multiple entrepreneurship ventures in various fields. He co-founded F5ive Technologies that does ‘Open Source Development’. His passion for agriculture, led him to start Vaksana Farms where he does farming during the weekends.

Prior to his entrepreneurship role, he was Associate Director of Sulekha.com and a senior manager at Sify.

At Publishing Next, Kiruba will host and conduct an Unconference, a very interactive, high energy event that will aim to tap into the rich knowledge of the audience. This is also the subject of his latest book.

He has been a technology columnist at The New Indian Express, Business Standard and Financial Express.

Kiruba is passionate about teaching. He has lectured on Social Media at IIM Kozhikode, IIM Bangalore, IIT Madras and Asian College of Journalism.

Kiruba is a Senior Ambassador for TEDx program in India. He is the curator of Cerebrate.in, an international event for achievers.
