Pratheek, along with his wife Tina, is the co-founder of Studio Kokaachi, a small, independent storytelling house based out of Cochin and Bangalore. By collaborating with a diverse pool of creators & storytellers from across India, Studio Kokaachi’s work spreads into comics, children’s books, feature film and animation. Before moving to Kokaachi, Pratheek co-founded and established Manta Ray, where he co-created the graphic novella Hush, the comics anthology Mixtape and also contributed to The Small Picture in Mint.
Irrespective of all the hype and excitement around comics in India, Pratheek feels that comics still have a long way to go. He believes that for comics to grow beyond its niche readership in India, the medium needs to see a growth in creator-owned/ driven projects; and envisions Kokaachi as a place that can help empower, enable and support aspiring storytellers to make their own comics.
Pratheek is currently working on a couple of film projects and writing Twelve, his most ambitious comics project to date.
