Bimal Mehta is the Executive Director of Vakil & Sons Pvt. Ltd (Vakils), a premier printing and publishing firm based in Mumbai. Over the last 18 years he has been involved in the restructuring of Vakils from a traditional print company to a high-tech IT enabled services company. He was instrumental in bringing NYSE-listed Bowne & Co Inc (recently acquired by RR Donnelly), the world’s largest financial printing company, to India.
Bimal is also the Managing Director of Vakils Premedia, a subsidiary of Vakils. With offices in India and US, Vakils Premedia works with some of the leading companies to offer premedia and cross media services around the world. He is also a director of JVX Media Services, a company promoted by Vakils to offer XBRL and related financial reporting services. His other directorships include Vakils, Feffer & Simons Pvt Ltd and JD Jones (Bombay) Pvt Ltd.
Prior to joining Vakils, Bimal worked at CRISIL Ltd (India’s first credit rating agency) as a research associate, and was part of the founding team to set up the information services business at CRISIL .
He is an MBA from Boston University Graduate School of Management.
