Translator, writer, editor and curator of translation discourses, Kabani C has translated more than 25 works by authors including Amoz Oz, Salman Rushdie, Perumal Murugan, Harsh Mander, Paulo Coelho, Preeti Shenoy and Shobha De into Malayalam. She has proved herself adept in translating both literary as well as popular fiction and non fiction texts.
Kabani is a board member of Samatha, a women’s collective for gender justice, and is actively involved in publishing original as well as translations of books related to women’s struggle. Her research is in the area of translation and gender.
