Bipin Shah, Publisher and Managing Director, Mapin Publishing, graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1970. After working in the US for 12 years in publishing, in 1982 he co-founded Mapin Publishing. The company specializes in publishing illustrated books on Indian art and culture, and has nearly 300 titles to its credit. Mapin has done seminal work on the living traditions of India including tribal arts and crafts, contemporary and 19th-century photography, architecture and documenting museum collections.
Mapin now focuses on offering packaging services to international publishers, museums and corporate clients in the field of art and culture and will enter into publishing educational material for college students in the field of architecture, cinema, design and fashion in 2014.
